Short version: ScoochIn doesn't collect any personal data. Face checks happen on your iPhone and are forgotten right away. No account, no uploads, no tracking.
ScoochIn is an iPhone camera app for group photos, made by Nikhil Walvekar ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
To tell you who's in the shot, ScoochIn analyses the live camera preview on your iPhone using Apple's on-device face detection. It finds where faces are and whether eyes look closed. It doesn't identify who anyone is, doesn't create face profiles, and doesn't store or send this information anywhere. It's used live and then discarded.
Photos you take are saved to your Photos library using add-only access, so ScoochIn can't see or change anything already there. If you don't allow Photos access, photos stay inside the app on your phone until you allow it. Your photos are never sent to us.
ScoochIn has no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. The app doesn't connect to our servers.
ScoochIn doesn't ask for your microphone, location or contacts. You can change permissions any time in the iPhone Settings app.
If you've turned on Share With App Developers in iOS settings, or you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with us, under Apple's terms. These don't include your photos. We use them only to fix problems.
scoochin.com is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie. We don't add analytics, advertising cookies or trackers to this site.
ScoochIn isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
